The sustainable development of Earth resources – minerals, energy, water, and increasingly, critical resources derived from waste streams or integrated renewable systems – represents one of the defining challenges of our era. While excellent research exists within specialized sub-domains (mining, petroleum, renewables, environmental science), there remains a pronounced gap for a dedicated, high-impact forum that embraces the full value chain of all Earth resources – sustainable sourcing, responsible development, efficient utilization, and lifecycle management of earth resources – through the lens of integrated engineering solutions and sustainability science. SERC aims to become this essential, defining platform, fostering the interdisciplinary collaboration vital for achieving global carbon neutrality and resource security goals.

  • Integrated Sustainability Science– Uniting engineering innovation and earth sciences principles across the full earth resource value chain
